Originally from the state of Veracruz, Mexico, Leonardo Sanchez is noted as one of the upcoming tenors of his generation. As a graduate from the Zürich International Opera Studio, of which he was the youngest member for the seasons 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, Leonardo has had the opportunity to share the stage with opera icons such as Sir Bryn Terfel, Piotr Beczala and Krassimira Stoyanova, in addition to having collaborated with Nello Santi, Fabio Luisi and Ottavio Dantone.

Under the direction of American soprano Jeanne-Michelle Charbonnet, Leonardo has recently graduated from the master programme for “Chanteurs Solistes” in Lausanne, Switzerland. Leonardo is equally a proud young ambassador for the renowned Opera For Peace project.
